Competition

Competitions will take place in venues carefully selected to provide the best possible conditions for athletes and spectators alike. Each site reflects the host country’s commitment to university sport, offering high-quality facilities in a setting designed for international events.

Competition format

SPORT REGULATIONS

The Shooting Sport competitions and its disciplines shall be organised in accordance with the most recent technical rules of the International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF), unless otherwise stated. In case of dispute in the interpretation of the rules, the English text shall be regarded as authoritative.

CLASSIFICATION SYSTEM

1. ELIMINATION ROUNDS
If the number of entries exceeds the available shooting positions, elimination rounds will be conducted.

2. FINAL ROUNDS
All Olympic events will be conducted as finals. For Individual Rifle, Pistol and Shotgun events, the eight highest-scoring shooters from the qualification rounds will qualify for the finals.

DELEGATIONS COMPOSITION

Athletes

  • Rifle: Max. 5 athletes (3 per event)
  • Pistol: Max. 6 athletes (3 per event)
  • Shotgun: Max. 6 athletes (3 per event)
  • Team Events: Max. 1 team per gender (3 athletes per team) per delegation
  • Mixed Team Events: Max. 2 teams per delegation (1 man + 1 woman per team)

In all Individual and Team disciplines, a maximum of three athletes per gender and per delegation may participate in each of the 12 disciplines. Mixed Teams are composed of 2 athletes only.

At the Technical Meeting, the Head of Delegation or his/her representative shall confirm and sign the official list of competitors accredited by the CIC.

The team composition will be confirmed at the General Technical Meeting or no later than 48 hours prior to the start of the discipline.

Officials

Maximum 6 officials per delegation.

Venue

Gongxi Shoorting Range

Competition and training will take place in the Gongxi Shooting Range. It is the official training range for national teams and international shooting sport events takes place here too. This venue meets the standards of International Shooting Sport Federation.
